Maybe it was good in theory, but what was actually produced is probably the most frustrating thing in the entire game.

The pre-release hype was not equal to the result. If Summon Mursaat had Spectral Agony, I might have played it more than three rounds. Norn tournament was a fun mini game; I play that on occasion.

The norn tournament I could see a great deal of benefit as a pvp arena if they would just offer it.

It would have been far better had they cut out the steroids part of the "pokemon on steroids" they advertised it with.

As in: Don't trow in dozens of overpowered tiles, add some random enemy battle like in the Norn tournament, and add some worthwile rewards.

On that note, it would have been nice to collect all pices through polymock and not through running dungeons forever.

when Eton came out, i did all the quests for tje polymocks, anyhoy never touched it since. when i sew it at first, i thought its must be before the pvp version is going to come out to that mini game. but it never got touched ever since. shame.

Eton had tons on nice ideas that never got fully explored. the norn arena for example, how long did the community asked for a 1v1 arena ? that place could have been perfect for that, and how about watching ppl fight as a viewer in the arena seats?

Ha was a big collosseum before tombs( as a concept) , i like the idea of watching other people fight .

anyhow my 2 cents of the subject,

btw ive tried to find the old Ha pic anywhere but couldn't find it

Did it once on one character for the skills. Would like the skills on other characters, but can't bring myself to play anymore of this horrible excuse for a minigame to get them.

i still play it from time to time for fun, yep. though better rewards would make it more desirable. or - dreams, dreams... - a pvp version of it.

resembles turn card games a lot. like mtg. just the turns overlap.
it is fun, just boring after a while due to limited options and no rewards.

I played through it once for the skills, never again. It was annoying and at places unbearable frustrating. Fortunately I got through it before they fixed that hole that let you use ranger spirits for extra sneakyness.

And after all that the summon skills sucked anyway.

Bah.

I only do it for the Asura summon spells on my characters, which is an unenjoyable 30 minute chore for me.

It feels like there's a skill delay which frustrates me. I don't know if perhaps I've been spoiled with Fast Casting but Polymock Power Drain is not like the regular Power Drain. But, as with all interrupts, the AI is pretty good at hitting my skills.

It's not that hard once you get to know it. It just lacks the replayability-factor the the rest of Guild Wars has.

The norn tourney has a point, you can get booze and a cheap yet stylish head gear from it, so I still play that if I need a quick helmet. There's nothing similar in polymock, just asura points. They don't even track the stats like in the other mini game missions. Even the boxing thing can be useful for XP farming or chest running, and while the charr coded plan missions don't reward well, it's just frickin fun to slaughter charr.

I do kinda wish it was PvP. Or at least had a better reward system, maybe if they gave you summoning stones as a reward or something, but summon stones kinda suck too... The skills they give you as a reward suck, the summons get 1 crappy underpowered ele skill apiece, die quick and recharge in 60 seconds... I kinda wished if you beat all of it, they gave you a Golem summon skill that worked like charm animal/comfort animal. You equip it and you're accompanied by a golem that works like the ones in Destruction's Depths... you could have golemway parties... but no... just underpowered ele skills... It's like you give up a slot on your bar for an underpowered ele skill you can't actually control.... They really do need a buff, like at less then 4 asuran rank they get the skills they have now, at 5 and over they get an additional skill, at rank 8 they get a 3rd and at max aruan rank they get an elite skill(or in the case of the mursaat it should get spectral agony... mursaatway FTW!) THEN it would be worth going through the quests...

I got thru the first uhm 3 on my mesmer, think I got as far on my monk...did the first one with another character or so....decided I had better ways to spend my quality time (like banging my head on a brick wall)....never finished the quest line, would like to someday (right after I have some teeth pulled without pain killers first).
dont think its gonna happen anytime soon.

it's ~7 min to win against each opponent, and that's when you lose your toons on the way.

polymock's hard and gives nothing but some useless skills - thus why people don't like it. add party points as rewards, similar to booze from norn tournament.
